Jury Fee: $30.00

The Gaithersburg Fine Art Festival returns to the Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland in the heart of Montgomery County. Located adjacent to the District of Columbia, Montgomery County is the most populated and affluent county in Maryland. The Washingtonian Center, opened in 1998, combines with the Waterfront and Rio Entertainment Center to create a 530,000 sq ft environment of retail stores and restaurants and over 200,000 sq ft of entertainment uses. Residential communities such as The Crossing developed nearby have attracted high-end clientele. During summer, free concerts are held at the Waterfront of the Washingtonian Center. The median household income for residents of Montgomery County is $106,000 as of the 2007 census. Great demographics and a wonderful venue combine to create the foundation for a great art festival.

The average sale reported by artists in 2011 for the inaugural year was $1544. For 2012 the show will move onto the street and advertising will continue to be fine-tuned to continue growth of the show.
