The Jewish Council for the Aging. Is holding their 19th Annual Productive Aging Award Dinner on May 7, 2012 at the Marriott North Bethesda Hotel & Conference Center. This years honoree is Edgar M. Bronfman. During the cocktail portion of the event we will have a art sale. Mr. Bronfman’s wife Jan Aronson is an artist and she has agreed to donate a piece, also artists Peter Max and Yankel Ginzberg have agreed to donate. We would certainly enjoy highlighting local artists as well.
If possible we would like to have between 12-20 donated pieces approximately 18” x 36” framed art that range in value in excess of $500.00 and up, not to exceed $3500.
From The Director: "We would ask for a description, retail value, small picture (online if possible) as well as a short artist bio with e-mail address or website that we could use to create a sales brochure. As a thank you to each artist will have their bio and contact information in a half page journal ad which will be given to each guest at the event as well as distributed throughout the year to major donors. We would also have signage at the event listing all the artist who participated in the event noting their e-mail address / website (if available). Adjacent to their art would be contact information as well. We would certainly want to give as much kudos to the artists as possible."
