Fiber Options: Material Explorations --
The Maryland Federation of Art invites all artists residing in the
United States, Puerto Rico and Canada to enter its open-juried
competition for artists working with fiber.
Any two- or
three-dimensional original fiber work including soft sculpture, painting
on silk, felting, applique, tapestries, wearable art and more will be
considered. Cash awards $1000. Juror, J. Susan Isaacs, holds B.A., M.A.
and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Delaware and is a Professor at
Towson University. Selected artwork will be on view July 19 - August 11,
2012 at MFA's Circle Gallery in
Annapolis, MD.
Deadline: May 9, 2012. Online submissions only. One-two entries $35 (MFA members $20), additional four entries $5.00 each.
